OVERSERVED

Your phone's bouncer.

Set local phone boundaries before a night out. OverServed checks whether Android is ready, then applies only the protections your device can actually run.

Everybody's got one text they wish they could take back.

This is an early release. Its useful pieces run locally, and the app shows when required Android access is missing instead of claiming protection it cannot provide.

Spotter schedules local check-back reminders on this device.

Spotter asks you to check back with yourself. Android may delay or suppress those reminders. After three failed memory checks, it attempts to arm your configured protection and reports whether that started. It does not contact a friend, transmit location, or confirm reminder delivery. Do not treat silence as safety.

Spotter cannot detect drugs. Nothing on a phone can.

In this build Spotter schedules local check-back reminders on this device. It does not contact a buddy or collect or share location. After three failed memory checks, it attempts to arm your configured protection. Android may delay or suppress reminders, so silence from Spotter never means you are safe. Spotter is not a medical device and is not a substitute for emergency services. If you believe you are in danger, contact local emergency services.

The app's data boundary is small.

The Android build has no account, ad network, analytics SDK, or buddy backend. The public homepage links directly to Google Play and has no email signup form.

  • OverServed does not remove or rewrite contacts. Contact selection and protected numbers stay on the device for call redirection. Contact mutation and contact recovery are not shipped features.
  • Slosh Check stays local. Draft text is handled inside the app for the advisory and is not uploaded to OverServed.
  • Buddy alerts and location delivery do not run in this build. Spotter only schedules local check-back reminders on this device. The app has no service that can send a safety alert or location to another person.
  • We do not sell your data. No ads, data brokers, or third-party analytics are used in the Android app or this site.
  • Safety paths are excluded from local blocking rules. The app is designed to leave emergency, dialer, map, and ride paths available, but it is not an emergency service and cannot guarantee device or network availability.

The full detail — every permission, every stored item, every right you have — is in the privacy policy. For the exact contact boundary, read contact safety and recovery guidance.

It's out. Go get it.

OverServed is free on Google Play for Android 10 and later. Nothing to sign up for: there is no account, and the app has no analytics, ads, or user-data backend.

Set it up while you are sober: choose the apps that are off-limits, record your own reaction baseline, then hold to arm before the night starts.
